Day 1: Arrival/Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be welcomed by your driver-guide and after a brief briefing, you will be transferred to Tamadind tree hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Masai Mara
After breakfast drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. Red-clad with a spear, Masai warriors tend their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators. The most spectacular feature is the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from the plains of Serengeti that cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Maasai Mara’s grasslands from early July, tracked by predators and circled by vultures as the journey unfolds. Arrive in time for lunch a Mara Sentrim Lodge. After a little siesta depart for an afternoon game drive in Maasai Mara reserve. Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Sentrim Lodge.
Day 3 & 4: Masai Mara
Two full days dedicated in game drives in this spectacular game reserve, all with superb photographic opportunities. Apart from the seasonal migration, game viewing is excellent year-round. The animals include elephants, Black Rhinos, buffalos, wildebeests, Burchell’s zebra, hartebeests,
various antelopes, lions, leopards, giraffes, and lots more. All meals and overnight will be at Mara Sentrim Lodge.
Day 5: Masai Mara/Serengeti national park
After breakfast, you will depart with picnic lunch and drive to Serengeti national park through the Isebania border. Serengeti is the park with the largest concentration of big mammals in the world and it is where you will see most of your exciting wildlife. With so many wildebeest, gazelles and zebras present it is no wonder the Serengeti is also home to 4,000 lions and 1,000 leopards. Apart from the Big Five, the Serengeti boasts the cheetah, jackal, hyena, serval, aardvark, pangolin, porcupine, crocodiles, giraffe, python, black mamba, spitting cobra, ostrich, martial eagle, lovebirds, and vultures, just to name a few. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Osinon camp.
Day 6 and 7: Serengeti national park
Two full days spent exploring Serengeti national park. You will be starting your game drives in the early mornings to have opportunity to see the active predators. All meals and overnight will be at Serengeti Osinon tented camp.
Day 8: Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch. You will spend the day on the floor of the crater (often called the eighth wonder of the world) exploring its reach flora and fauna. Because of the permanent supply of food and water, animals stay in the crater all year long. This is the best place to see the rare endangered black rhinos and flamingos in Lake Magadi. Other animals include Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, warthogs, hippos, zebras, waterbuck, hyenas, jackals and if you are lucky enough lions will be sleeping by your vehicle for shade. In the afternoon you will continue to Marera valley lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Amboseli national park
After early breakfast depart with picnic lunch and drive to Amboseli national park through the Namanga border. You will then continue with the game drive before heading to Amboseli Sentrim Camp for dinner and overnight. This park offers a wide variety of wildlife including its principal attraction, the vast herds of an elephant within the park. The bull elephants here have some of the largest tusks in Kenya. Other games include zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, leopard, caracal and serval cat. The park boasts a rich birdlife such as ibis, egret, avocet, common and saddle-billed stork, secretary bird, heron, vultures, ducks, and geese.
